About the event

Sponsored by the Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship, founded by pioneering conductor Marin Alsop to champion and promote women conductors in the field, this concert is part of a larger global series celebrating the significant contributions of women in classical music as conductors, composers and performers.  As a 2005 winner of the Taki Alsop Fellowship, Maestro Jeri Lynne Johnson will lead her ensemble in the Philadelphia-area premiere of Anna Clyne's "Dance" for cello and orchestra performed by Inbal Segev.  The concert will also feature Dvorak's unforgettable Symphony No. 7.
