Black Pearl @ the Barnes

Black Pearl is delighted to return to the Barnes Foundation to present an unforgettable and emotional program that follows an emotional arc from tragedy, through transition, and eventually to triumph . The program opens with Julia Perry's powerful and tragic Stabat Mater, featuring Mezzo soprano Zoie Reams, followed by the US premiere of composer Hannah Kendall's and at pains to temper the light followed by Vaughn William's glorious Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis, led by Black Pearl Associate Conductor, Jaman Dunn-Danger. The event includes a Q and A with the artists and a discussion of the works.
