About the event
I love mixing "old" and "new" works together to show how genius influences genius! In this program, works by Bach and Mozart provide Stravinsky with the framework for his edgy, rhthmically dynamic Neo-Classical musical language. I am excited to be joined by "Brilliant pianist" (The New York Times) Orion Weiss as he bridges the Baroque and Classical eras with Bach's delightful Harpsichord Concerto No. 6 and Stravinsky's Concerto for Piano and Winds in a program culminating with Mozart's electrifying Symphony No. 25.
